Animation – a power learning tool for science?

Animation is a fantastic learning tool.  First, it is fun,  students are more receptive when having fun; it provides a place for students to express creativity; and it helps reinforce processes raising questions about the exact details of a process pushing students to perform at higher NC levels and beyond.

This website was advertised on edublogs.  It’s a site that enables you to create impressive looking multi-chocie quizzes with minimum effort.  You can base your questions around your own photographs, though I wasn’t able to import mine, probably due to the file size being to big, or images from google. In addition you can embed video from you tube and ask questions about the video clip.

Comic Life

I have enjoyed using Comic Life, and have twice used comic strips created with this software, since getting the Macbook, but does it really give you any more creativity in creating a comic strip than say a page in Powerpoint, which can be used to import photographs/pictures, add speech bubbles and frames to pictures?
